Welcome to a 5 month series on the Midlife Career Change. Each month you will see a new step for making this transition.

Step 1-Who are you and what do you want?
Midlife can be challenging for all of us. It doesn’t mean you are going to get divorced, buy a sportscar and drive off into the sunset (although some do;)

Midlife is actually a time when you realize that who you were in your younger years is not who you are now. We all evolve over time (which is a good thing) and often our dreams and goals have changed from what they originally were in our 20’s and 30’s.

We start to realize that we actually feel better about ourselves at this age, have more confidence, and are clearer on what we want to be working towards. That is when we start looking for a change in our life. It doesn’t have to be drastic, but it may be totally different from what you thought you would always want to do.

Now is when you start looking into that new career to see what skills you need, and if you need to go back to school for anything. Then looking into what it will take to get those skills and how long it will take and how much financial investment it will be.

Questions you can ask yourself now would be:
o What you want Less of/More of?
o What excites you?
o What are you passionate about?
o What has God been drawing you toward?

I would love to help you on this journey. Please contact me for a complementary coaching session if you are interested in learning more about how I can help!
